Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Quick Summary

In Hidden Shannon has her fundamental beliefs shattered. In what was essentially a steamy encounter she finds out that not only are gods real but all that she thought she knew about herself is a lie. She is a God!

As she grapples with this new found truth she finds herself adjusting to new revelations where she questions all that she knows. Afterall she is a scientist and science is grounded in reality. Isn’t it?

On what should have been a routine flight to London Shannon is seated next to the sexy singer/songwriter Tod Corvus. Their attraction is instant and when that attraction boils over their intemacy unlocks Shannon’s latent powers.

Now with her shifting landscape Shannon is confused and must adjust to this new reality. Additionally she must adjust to the fact that Tod is Loki, Asgard’s Black Prince, and she is drawn to him like flies to a flame.

Unfortunately, in his world dangers lurks around every corner and Shannon must learn quickly in order to survive.

First Impression

I loved it from the first page. The author managed to catch my attention from the beginning and I must say I lost time until the 7th chapter. I was that invested.

Of course the erotic love scenes didn’t hurt either.

What I Loved

The intricate plot is fantastic. Inspite of the fact that this is fantasy the writer built a very realistic world where immortals exists sometimes hidden among men.

The characters are strong and their backstories so well established I could almost believe they exist.

Are you the type to go for romance after a heartbreak? Wes and Addie Had Their Chance might be just the book for you.

What Could Have Been Better

The cliff hanger! Melody Grace Hicks you left me with a cliff hanger and I hate cliff hangers. However if Taken (Book Two of the Triquetra Prophecy) is half as good as Hidden I will forgive you.

I have one other complaint, this book robbed me of my sleep, but then I dare say it would not be a good book if it did not.

Favorite Characters

It was hard to choose but I would have to say the main characters Tod and Shannon.

Tod is a dream. From the first meeting the way he protected Shannon, the way he interacted with her and his determination to protect her even to his own detriment made him stand out for me.

I also greatly admire Shannon who is his match in every way. She is strong, independent and inspite of her past has verygood instincts. Her assessment of people is very good if she would only trust herself.

Who Should Read This

If you love fantasy romance novels with vivid love scenes, characters that have you rooting for them, danger lurking at every corner and the nail biting tension that accompanies it, you cannot afford to miss this book.

Final Thoughts

If I could give a book 6 stars this would be one. Unfortunately we are sticking to five.

I found this book to be well researched. The story line was consistent, believable and the characters were well developed.
