Quick Summary

The book Mrs McCarter, the Fart-tastic Farter features a loving and fun first grade teacher whose farts are loud and smelly. Unfortunately for Mrs McCarter, she had no control over this bodily function.

Her farts disrupt many lessons and caused her embarrassment. Her students, however, are loving and often polite. More than this, they show her great compassion.

First Impression

My first impression of this book was of its name and cover. Both of these caught my attention, and I was anxious to read it.

What I Loved about Mrs McCarter, the Fart-tastic Farter

Mrs McCarter, the Fart-tastic Farter, is a fun read that takes us back to the hilarious laughs we shared during childhood. Flatulence is something we all share regardless of our place in life,

For children just one fart is enough to start the laughter going and this is what I loved about this book. Mercy Eke crafted a fun childhood story about something most children will be able to relate to.

It is fun, it shows compassion like only the innocent of childhood can. It is also highly relatable.

What Could Have Been Better

I would not change a thing. I think Mercy Eke did a great job with this story.

Favorite Character

Mrs. McCarter was my favorite character, but her students were a close second. Mrs. McCarter is a caring teacher whom all her students love despite her one flaw.

I fell in love with her students because of their compassion and the creativity when dealing with their teacher’s embarrassment.

Who Should Read this

“Mrs McCarter, the Fart-tastic Farter is perfect for anyone who is sad and needs a giggle,” said my son Jordan. This was followed by many conversations about times when he let one rip.

I agree with him completely.

Final Thought
