Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Quick Summary

Sincerely, Antonia is a satirical tale about Antonia, an ant who writes a letter to her friend Jay to thank him for the many treats he leaves for her and her friends. She also takes that opportunity to let him know that his parents are acting strange.

However, there just may be more to the strangeness Antonia is talking about.

What I Loved about Sincerely Antonia

I love Cortney Cino’s clever use of satire to get the point across. He paints a picture of a happy ant who believes that she has found a great friend in Jay.

I also love that the other side of the story is cleverly woven in, and the lesson, while all too clear, is shared silently.

Did I mention that the illustrations were also perfect? They simply reinforce the lesson.

What Could Have Been Better

Sincerely, Antonia is perfect. I would not change a thing.

Favorite Character

Antonia is my favorite character. The story is funny but revealing when told from her perspective.
