First Impressions
The beginning of the Wrong Bride was so frightening. At first I was afraid for Elizabeth then everything was okay and I let out a sigh of relief but then the tension ramped up again and the fear was so intense I swear my heart was in my mouth.
It was the reaction you get when looking at scary movies and the eerie music begins to play and you know something bad was about to happen. That is the level of tension I experienced when I began reading this book.
All I could think was, oh no don’t let your guard down.
What I Loved
I love the mix of fantasy, romance and mystery ohhh and the body switch twist and the supernatural war was something I was not expecting but thoroughly enjoyed.
I live for the mix-up. The sexual tension between Elle and Callen was palpable. The witty, determined heroine and the moody, enigmatic hero created the perfect slow-burn dynamic, making it impossible to put down.
If you are a parent chances are you are interested in a few children’s books. Here are a delightful, clean book with a great message that you cannot afford to miss: Energy Wars.
What could have been better
I honestly thought that this book was well written. I found no faults with it and I would definitely recommend it for anyone that is interested in paranormal romance.
Who should read this?
If you are interested in romance you must listen to this however, if you love your romance with a little seasoning meaning a little supernatural action then this is for you.
This audio book is so lovely, the narrator has the accent down for Callen. This book was a hard one to put down for me.
Final Thoughts
The Wrong Bride was such an enchanting book. It was one where I felt like I was a part of the plot that was unfolding. This book is riddled with a hook that sinks into you from the very first chapter and never lets go until the last word.
