Quick Summary

In the book Warrior by Elizabeth Lowell, Eden Summers, a biologist, arrives in Colarado Rockies with one goal in mind continuing her research on cougars. Eden is an independent woman used to working alone and taking care of herself. That is, until she runs into the Nevada with his piercing gaze and sharp tongue.

Eden pulled his cold and unconscious form out of the snow and into her warm cabin never knowing that saving one man would lead to so much, wanting. Nevada an old army man, and rancher never cared much for what you call romance, he still doesn’t. However Eden is like a moth drawn to flame seeking ways to change him.

Will Nevada really be swayed by Eden’s so called love or would she break her own heart trying to get him to love her.

First Impressions

At first i wasn’t impressed but come on its Elizabeth Lowell. It would get better eventually and it did. From the scene in the bar to Eden dragging Nevada into her cabin something happened and suddenly I couldn’t stop reading.

What I Loved

I loved how regardless of how much Nevada “claimed” he disliked Eden he’d always find ways to protect and be around her like some knight in shining armor.

Eden’s resilience, despite everything, caught my attention asap. Well, her beauty and fiery attitude did that first; ahem, yeah, let’s move on.

What Could Have Been Better?

We didn’t really get a full breakdown of Nevada’s hard past and it upset me. It didn’t give full insight on why Nevada is the way he is. This should have been added for some context.

Who Should Read This?

Anyone into that slow burn, one sided love trope should read this. It’s short maybe 4-5 hours and you’re finished.

Final Thoughts

This book Warrior was worth every agonizing hour of screaming at Nevada and occasionally Eden. To be frank I highly recommend it. I find myself picking up this book often so its a bit of an obsession.
