Synopsis
Tristan, Gavin and Lear Okara, were fighting alongside their father against the Kayadons to free Faiearans when their father was killed.
Now with Gavin abdicating the throne Tristan has stepped up to become king and lead his people.
He is not quite prepared however since he always thought his father would be around much longer. Now to strengthen his kingdom and avoid challenges to the throne he is prepared to marry a woman he cares nothing for.
Juniper Jacobs, who has lost every member of her family had left him for a hike in the forest when she came upon a strange vessel. Needing to use the washroom badly she entered only to find herself barreling through space moments later with no clue of how to control the ship or call for help.
When Tristan’s ship captured a Kayadon’s it was with thoughts of revenge. However the lone woman aboard was frightened our of her wits and was more a threat to his heart than his life.
This story is of the shape shifting, fierce dragon people.
In the Tempting the Dragon King Kiersten Fay created an absorbing tale of true love between different beings.
The steamy romance as well as the show of violence and strength is a captivating mix.
What I Liked
I loved the fast paced manner in which this book was written as well as the steamy romantic scenes.
The strength of will displayed by Junniper in the most difficult circumstances and kindness and integrity is quite appealing in this leading character.
I also enjoyed the supporting role played by Tristan’s mother as fierce spouse, protective, and understanding, kind mother with a heart of gold.
What I Didn’t Like
The origin of the different beings were so many that I found it a bit difficult to keep track.
Point To Note
I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in Exchange for a review.
