Synopsis
This book tells the story of a woman whose husband stole her daughter and gave her up for adoption. Thirteen years later Miranda traveled to Atlanta in the hopes of finding her daughter and bringing her thirteen-year search to an end.
The Characters
Parker is a private detective on a case. Miranda is a drifter trying to put her past pains behind her while looking for her daughter.
These characters are strong and determined, insightful, and resourceful.
Miranda’s past shapes the choices she makes. Her biggest asset proves to be her instincts and reasoning.
What I Liked
I liked that the story had many surprises in store for us and the fact that Miranda turned out to be much more than she appeared at first glance. I also enjoyed the fact that Miranda is painted in an understated way, even she doesn’t recognize her full potential.
What I Didn’t Like
I was a little disappointed with the end. I felt that there was a lack of closure between Miranda and Parker but look forward to further development in the sequel.
Stamp of Approval

I would certainly buy this book.

Thank you so much for this helpful review, Candy! As soon as I read the first paragraph of your article, I instantly became interested in the book. No husband of mine would dare try to take my daughter and put her up for adoption without my approval-he’d meet my shotgun before he made it to the door (please forgive me, Lord. Haha). I like that you gave your viewpoint of the story without going too deeply into the storyline; it leaves much for the reader to want to find out, which is only possible by reading the book. Haha. I love murder mysteries and stories with strong female leads-I’ll definitely check it out! God bless you!
In the way I see, there is nothing more powerful than a mother’s love. This article did catch my attention when it mentioned the summary of the story, but I got a question when I made it to the end. You said this is a ‘murder mystery”, yet from what you said there’s no people died in this novel. So is this a murder story or a missing story actually?
Actually no. People did die in the story. As a reader, I hate when people spoil a story for me by letting too much information out. So, I’ve tried in all my reviews to give just enough information without any spoilers.
What a cliffhanger. Maybe there wasn’t closure because of a possible book series coming? Just a thought since suspense seem to continue in another book or movie. As shocking as this interesting story sounds, it’s probably not as surprising if this really goes in real life these days. I know one thing, that father would have been met with some heat from my piece of steel that day! Anything to protect my daughte!
Hi dear, Thanks for stopping by. I have to agree with you. Yes, there is a sequel but what can I say I still wanted to know. Lol. I’m actually reading another in the series right now, answers all the questions I had.
