Dain and Olivia have been married for 10 years. In spite of all their efforts, they have remained childless. They still manage to find happiness, however, as they focus on each other.
Then things change, Olivia is not feeling well. Not wanting to worry Dane, she goes to see her doctor without telling him. There Olivia discovered she is pregnant but before she could tell her husband she walked right into a hostage situation at her Georgia Financial where she works.
As Olivia grapples with how to handle the situation she picked up her phone and leaves her husband a message. Her last words to him: “I’m having our baby, so you come get me…Come get us. I love you, Dain.”
Dain is an ex-military security expert for JCL and he has taught his wife to take care of herself but nothing will stop him from getting to her and taking care of his family, not even the police.
Dain and Olivia seem so perfectly matched. Not only that but they do everything to bring out the best in each other. They are the best of each other and to hurt one would be to hurt the other.
In ‘Come For Me’, Ella Sheridan has created a sizzling, romantic suspense that is all too short and leaves the reader wanting more.
The story embodies true love, loyalty, and friendship. It shows the distance a man is willing to go to protect what he holds most dear, this interestingly enough also applies to the protagonist. We are shown how kindness and the willingness to open your heart to others can build bonds with strangers so that when trouble comes, its everyone’s trouble. Lastly, the reader is given a glimpse of the distance a team is willing to go for one of their own.
Olivia Brannan, is the VP of her department at Georgia Financial. She is loyal to her family and coworkers and will do everything to protect her family.
Dain Brannan, an ex-military security expert who knows how to get the job done. Elliot, King, and Saint are Dain’s teammates as well as his and Olivia’s adoptive family.
Jack Quinn is Dain’s boss. He is quite resourceful and knows how to get around red tape.
Hedlon, is the police in charge of the situation. He is a by the book cop who will not stray from the agency guidelines.
What I Liked
I totally enjoyed the story. I loved the strength and determination displayed by the male and female characters.
I also enjoyed the author’s writing style. She was able to draw the reader in from the beginning.
What I Didn’t Like
While the protagonists appeared to be worthy opponents they folded so easily it was almost anti-climatic. I felt that the conflict ended too abruptly.
Stampp of Approval
I would buy this.
