Synopsis

Max King is the King of Wall Street. He has everything. He is rich, successful, and good looking. He also has a very supportive family.

Harper Jayne is the estranged daughter of Charles Jayne, the owner of JD Stanley, one of Wall Street’s leading men. He is the one man who Max wishes to do business with but hasn’t succeeded in winning his account as yet.

The Characters

Harper is bright and articulate but her history with her absentee father has influenced the person she has become and continues to affect her choices.

Harper always wanted to work with the King of Wall Street. Her choices throughout college were all geared toward getting her shot. She went after the job with single-minded determination until she succeeded. Working with Max King however, is not turning out the way Harper expected.

Max King considers his life full. It is all he has ever wanted it to be. Everyone clamors to do business with him except Charles Jayne.

Max is accustomed to keeping his personal life separate from his professional life and he succeeded until Harper came to work for him.

Charles Jayne is Harper’s dad who failed to step up to his responsibility during her childhood. He has never failed to try to fill the gap with his wallet, however.

Amanda King is Max’s fourteen-year-old daughter. She cares greatly for her father and wants him to get married and find happiness.

Scarlet and Violet, Max’s interfering sisters are constantly trying to set him up.

Setting

The story is set in the corporate world of Manhattan New York.

What I Liked

The story is interesting for those who love romance novels.

King of Wall Street draws attention to the influences fathers have on their daughter’s lives and how their presence or absence shape their lives. It also deals with the issues of forgiveness and healing to move forward.

What I Didn’t Like

I wouldn’t change anything here.

Note Well:

The book contains adult language.

Stamp of Approval

It was a good read. I would recommend this for anyone who enjoys a steamy romance.

This is an excellent overview of what I should expect from the King of Wall Street.

I am not a big reader, so I like to make sure that when I do pick a book that I will enjoy reading and more importantly, will finish.

I think that you give sufficient information to help me decide if it is the book for me, without in any way spoiling the storyline.

I would also find it interesting to read just before watching the film too, as sometimes I can sometimes get a bit lost in who is who, or even in the middle of the film when I need reminded!

So thanks for the useful insight.  I think this is definitely a book that I would definitely read.

The connection between Harper, her dad, and Max King sounds intriguing. I truly believe people enter and leave our lives at the precise moments in time when they are supposed to. Everything happens for a reason and people we meet – never an accident. I agree that the disconnect Harper has with her dad probably draws her even more to Max. Parents in particular, but Dads have an impact on their children’s lives significantly. While I typically prefer books on theology or science fiction, the storyline here is really interesting. I’ll have to venture out and try reading this! 🙂 Thanks for the synopsis on this book!

      Hi Catherine,

I’m happy you found the synopsis intriguing. We all have our preferences but occasionally that special book comes along that makes us want to venture out. Be sure to stop by again I will add a few Science fictions in the near future.

      Cheers,

For a start, I do not actually favour a particular genre of book to read so, I tend to diversify areas that I read on. This book us definitely interesting based on the outline and synopsis in here. It can definitely be a worthy bet in and one that I would actually be willing to engage in. Thanks for this here

Think that this is a good book and a great plot too. The story line is something that I generally get so much love for because it shows in a big way how one is able to live unconditionally. I like adult romance books normally so I am sure that this one will be a good book for me.
