Anything but easy is a hilarious novel that deals with very serious issues that we face in our daily life.
In Anything But Easy, Susan Tate paints a picture of a wacky sexual health doctor who is very spontaneous and will do anything to draw attention to sexual health, a subject she feels passionately about.
To anyone who doesn’t know her Kira Murphy seems like the most unlikely person to be a doctor. Born to a mother who embodies the word free spirit Kira depended on the mother of her good friend to give her much-needed stability and direction.
Kira has grown up to become the most loving friend to all, greeting the world with an open heart and mind. She often thinks before she speaks.
Barclay is a serious man who has found little to laugh about until Kira walked into his life. He finds her wacky, spontaneous personality very disturbing but he needs her help to save his brother’s life and he will do anything to secure it.
Little did he know the whirlwind that was about to hit his well-ordered life in the shape of this lovable, unpredictable, unconventional, foul mouth doctor who gives new meaning to the term liability.
This book deals with the abuse of power, sexual health topics, politics, and human expectations.
What I Liked
I loved the humorous way in which this story is told. It is very in your face and real in dealing with sensitive issues.
Everything hangs on the personality of this free-spirited heroine who is not afraid to embrace life wholeheartedly.
I found some ideas put forth in this story unlikely in the world we live in today yet Susan Tate in her masterful way made a believer out of me.
All the ideas put forward were resolved in a satisfactory manner and I am anxious to dive into the next Susan Tate Novel.
